Terms of sale and use

Last updated: [DATE].

What you are buying

A personal, perpetual licence to use ShotPlots with the export watermark removed and whole-project PDF export enabled. One payment, no renewal, no expiry. The licence is for you, and you may use it on any machine you personally work on.

What is free

Drawing, editing, saving, opening files and exporting a watermarked PDF one scene at a time are free and are not time-limited. You are never required to pay to open, read or change a plan file: including one somebody else made.

Refunds

Ask within 30 days of purchase and you get a full refund. Write to [CONTACT EMAIL] with the email address you bought with. You do not have to give a reason.

Your work is yours

We claim no rights over anything you draw. Your plans and your exported PDFs are yours, for any purpose, commercial or otherwise. We never receive a copy of them.

Sharing your licence code

The code is for you. Publishing it, reselling it or distributing it defeats the honour system this is built on and will invalidate it. Sharing a plan file is expected and encouraged, that costs nobody anything.

No warranty

The software is provided as is. It is a planning aid, not a survey instrument and not a safety document. Measurements you draw are as accurate as the numbers you enter, and a plan is never a substitute for a recce, a rigging assessment or a qualified electrician. You are responsible for what happens on your set.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, liability is limited to the amount you paid: at most nineteen dollars. Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law where you live.

Availability

The app is a static page, so it keeps working from your browser cache even if this website goes away. There is no service to withdraw and no account to close. Keep a copy of your plan files anyway, as you would any other work.

Changes

These terms may change for future purchases. A change never affects a licence you have already bought.
